Linkdrop

Send a private Craft asset to anyone with a link that dies when you say so. Linkdrop mints an unguessable URL for videos or files already in Craft. The guest never creates an account. Video streams from a private volume with byte-range requests so the HTML5 player can seek. Other files download as a real attachment.

Each share is a Craft element. Editors pick multiple assets, set a valid-from and valid-until datetime, add any custom fields via a field layout, copy the URL, and revoke it instantly. Developers override the guest page with templates/_linkdrop/share.twig.

Hook EVENT_SHARE_ACTIVATED, EVENT_SHARE_EXPIRED, and EVENT_SHARE_REVOKED from a module (for example to send email). Run php craft linkdrop/shares/tick every 10 minutes so time-based status changes fire. Linkdrop does not send mail itself.
