Matrix Block Anchor

Anchor links to any Matrix block
If you build pages with Matrix, you've hit this before: an editor wants to link straight to one block on a long page, and there's no clean way to do it without getting a developer involved. Matrix Block Anchor takes care of that. Drop the field into your block types and every block gets its own anchor, ready to copy and paste wherever it's needed.
Out of the box it grabs the block's own ID and builds the anchor for you, so there's nothing to set up and nothing to maintain. Want something more readable? Turn on custom anchors and your editors can type their own, like #about-us or #pricing-section, with the plugin making sure each one is valid and unique on the entry.
What you get
- Automatic anchors - built from the block ID, no developer needed
- Custom anchors - let editors set their own readable links when you want them
- Copy to clipboard - one click and the link's ready to paste
- Built-in validation - anchors must start with a letter, use only safe characters, and stay unique within the entry
- Configurable prefix - change blockIdAnchor to whatever suits your conventions
- Legacy separator - a setting for anyone upgrading, so existing links don't break
- SEO-friendly - descriptive anchor text that stays put even when blocks get reordered
Perfect For
- Matrix-based page builders
- Long-form content with table of contents navigation
- Single-page websites with section navigation
