MX Cookieless Analytics

MX Cookieless Analytics is the official MetriXs plugin for Craft CMS. It
adds cookieless, privacy-friendly web analytics to your site: visitors,
pageviews, traffic sources, geography, devices, bounce rate, and more, in one clean dashboard.

No cookies, no consent banner. MetriXs sets no cookies and stores no personal data or persistent identifiers, so no consent is required under the ePrivacy Directive / GDPR cookie rules. Your visitors browse without a pop-up and your stats stay complete.

Opt-in, off by default. Installing the plugin loads nothing and sends
nothing. Tracking starts only after you paste your site API key, enable
tracking, and save. You can pause it at any time with one click.

Automatic verification. No DNS records, no template edits: the plugin verifies your site automatically when you save its settings.

EU-hosted. Data lives on MetriXs servers in Germany and never leaves the EU.

Admin exclusion. Users with admin access are excluded by default, so your own visits never pollute your stats. Regular logged-in users are still tracked.

## Setup

1. composer require metrixs/mx-cookieless-analytics
2. php craft plugin/install mx-cookieless-analytics
3. Create a free account at app.metrixs.eu and add your site
4. Create a site API key in the dashboard (Settings → Sites → API keys)
5. Paste the key in the plugin settings, switch on Enable tracking, and save

Verification runs automatically during the save. That's it: your dashboard is live.

## Requirements

• Craft CMS 5.0 or later (PHP 8.2+)
• A free MetriXs account (paid plans from €6/month)

## Privacy

MetriXs sets no cookies, stores no visitor IPs (a daily-rotating salted hash only), identifies no visitors across days, and never moves data outside the EU. Full details: metrixs.eu/data-policy
