Pulse gives you a single, honest answer to the question every Craft developer and site owner asks: is this site actually healthy?

Instead of checking Craft's updates page, then your server config, then your SSL certificate, then whether anyone left devMode on in production, Pulse runs every check for you and reports the results on one dashboard — with a weighted health score, an A–F grade, and a clear list of what needs attention first.

One dashboard, seven views

Pulse organises everything into tabs so you can scan the whole site at a glance or drill into a single area:

Overview — your overall health score and grade, counts of critical issues, warnings and passing checks, a per-category breakdown, and a prioritised list of recommendations. One click runs a full scan; every category can also be re-scanned on its own.

Craft CMS — Craft version and the latest available release, PHP version and configuration (memory limit, max execution time, required extensions), devMode status, security key, license and edition, queue health, deprecation warnings, database type and on-disk size, session table and search index size, and writable directory checks.

Plugins — a complete inventory of every installed plugin with its icon, developer, installed version, latest version, enabled status and license state. Available updates are highlighted, and critical updates are surfaced at the top and flagged in red. Expandable changelogs let you read exactly what changed before you update, loading more entries on demand.

Security — HTTPS redirect behaviour, HSTS, Content-Security-Policy, X-Frame-Options, X-Content-Type-Options, Referrer-Policy and Permissions-Policy, plus server and framework header exposure, control-panel path, and checks for publicly reachable .env files, database dumps, archives and .git directories.

SSL / HTTPS — certificate validity, expiry date with advance warning, issuer, domain match, chain completeness and protocol version.

Server — web server and operating system, PHP SAPI, OPcache status and hit rate, upload limits, timezone configuration, Composer, Node.js availability, image driver, and GZIP/Brotli compression.

Media — a complete picture of your asset library: total file count and size, breakdowns by file type and by volume, and a filterable, sortable list of your largest files. Works with any storage backend — local, S3, or anything else Craft supports — and stays fast on libraries of any size.

File integrity verification

Pulse verifies Craft core and plugin files against their official released versions, so you can see whether anything on your server has been modified, corrupted or tampered with — the kind of change that's invisible in the control panel but matters enormously after a security incident or a bad deploy.

Checks that tell you the truth

A monitoring tool is only useful if you can trust it. Pulse is deliberately built to avoid the false alarms that make people ignore warnings:

File exposure checks verify actual file contents, not just HTTP status codes — because many servers return 200 for paths that don't exist, which naively produces alarming false positives. Update severity is determined by scanning the full release history between your installed version and the latest one, so a critical security release several versions back is never missed. Environment limitations are reported honestly. If a server can't reach its own URL (common on hosting behind NAT), Pulse says so plainly rather than reporting every external check as a failure.
