Version 5.0.0
August 26, 2026
Initial release. Version 5 to match the family and the Craft major it targets.
Added
- Sidebar field layout element. Drop it into any tab in any field layout designer and that tab's fields render in the element editor's sidebar instead of the content pane.
- Two scopes on the marker: everything in this tab, or everything below this marker — so one tab can split between the two columns. A second marker stops the first one's run.
- Optional heading per group, and a per-group choice of above or below the element's own author/date/slug fields.
- Tab-name matching, for arranging a sidebar without touching the UI elements library.
Sidebarout of the box; the list is a setting, matched without regard to case or spacing. - Settings screen with the tab names, the default position, heading and width switches, a per-element-type escape hatch, and a list of every field layout that currently pipes something.
- A control-panel stylesheet that lifts a piped field's action menu out of the heading flow, so a narrow label column reads like Craft's own meta fields instead of wrapping to a stray “…”.
- Element and tab conditions are honoured in the sidebar exactly as they are in the content pane, and the marker's own visibility conditions decide whether the move happens at all — a marker that doesn't apply leaves its fields in the content pane rather than hiding them.
