The plugin can be set up to be fully automatic, semi automatic, or manual with the ability to choose whether to queue all new images for alt text generation, or just selected ones. You can choose whether to automatically sync alttext.ai's text with the asset for immediate cover, or to wait for you to review the generated text. You also have the option to ask alttext.ai for a human review.

All options are set as permissions so you can limit functionality to specific user groups.
